Welcome!

Dear Educators,

Welcome back to class! We hope this year is your healthiest yet. This month, we honor the one-year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. You’ll find articles on Katrina's long-term effects, as well as how to be prepared for any kind of emergency.

We also have some great opportunities for teens to get involved with and be part of the magazine:

  • Encourage your students to become Current Health Teen Testers! We’re always looking for teens who would like to be in one of our upcoming You Said It! features. Your students can e-mail us at currenthealth@weeklyreader.com if they would like to be on our panel of reviewers.
  • Don’t let your students forget: they can ask us any health question at any time for You Asked, our Q&A section. Send questions to currenthealth@weeklyreader.com or write to us at:

Weekly Reader Publishing, Current Health 1
200 First Stamford Place
P.O. Box 120023
Stamford, CT 06912-0023

Be sure to check out Current Health’s new teen fitness program, Get Up and Go!

Sincerely,

Jennifer Magid
