Issue 25 is the final issue of the 2007-2008 school year. It's been an exciting year with all the buzz surrounding the U.S. presidential race, the summer Beijing Olympics, the changing economy, and all the political and social upheaval around the world. Next year promises to be even better! Let us know what you would like to see in Current Events next school year by filling out our online survey. You can also e-mail the editors any time with ideas or comments at edce@weeklyreader.com.
Keep up with the news over the summer and encourage your students to continue weighing in on the latest world events at the CE News Blog. Blogging keeps kids writing as well as thinking and learning. They can get the latest news on the presidential candidates at our Election Center, too. The Election Center will have games and regular updates on the 2008 race for the White House all summer and then down the stretch next fall.
Teachers: Please take a few minutes to fill out our end-of-the year survey. You can fax or mail in the survey in the Teacher's Guide or fill out the survey online by clicking here.
For more issue-related updates and web-only content all year long (summer too!), check out the CE News Blog and the Election Center.
The Issue 25 Teacher's Guide is available online.
