Space Junk

  • Have students look at the artist rendering of space junk on the cover of issue 19. Ask students to write a short story about being a garbage collector in space. What do they find? How do they gather it? What do they do with it?

  • The problems caused by space junk are a theme in the manga/anime series Planetes. Have students write and draw a anime story based on a rogue piece of space debris.
