Here, Edition 3 readers share their thoughts about recent issues of WR News. Read their letters below. January 29, 2008. Dear WR News Editor: I just finished reading the story “Boy Behind the Mask.” It was so informational! I felt like I was really there, standing in front of the tomb! I was wondering if you could write more ancient history articles? Sincerely, Jahlin Newark, NJ January 29, 2008. Dear WR News Editor: I just finished reading “Sailing for Freedom” in Issue 15. I like learning about history. I have learned many new facts in the Weekly Reader stories. Sincerely, Savannah Newark, NJ January 18, 2008. Dear WR News Editor: I love the Weekly Readers. They are so fun! I love to read the articles. I know if I want to get good grades, I have to read them. Nice talking to you! Sincerely, Mallory Irving, TX January 30, 2008. Dear WR News Editor: I just finished reading the story, “Sailing for Freedom.” I really like learning about historical events. It helps you know about the history of the world. My class is also talking about the story, “Boy Behind the Mask.” I think it would be very cool to see King Tut’s mummy. Sincerely, Brittney Newark, NJ January 29, 2008. Dear WR News Editor: I read WR News, Issue 15. It was very interesting. The story about the mummy was really cool and out of this world. I also liked the story about the pandas. It’s sad because pandas are endangered. I think they are really cute. Sincerely, Maya Newark, NJ January 29, 2008. Dear WR News Editor: I just finished reading “Boy Behind the Mask” in Issue 15. It is amazing that there is a 3,300-year-old king that does not have fungus or anything like that. It would be quite cool if I were the queen of Egypt, today as a nine-year-old. It must have been scary for scientists to look inside King Tut’s tomb. Sincerely, Maxine Newark, NJ Back |
