Gracing the silver screen this season are movies sure to get your heart racing, including The Dark Knight and Journey to the Center of the Earth. Brilliantly animated WallΣE and Kung Fu Panda will keep you believing. And Kitt Kittredge: An American Girl will restore your faith in the power of kids!

WallΣE(in theaters)
It’s not just a cute name! WallΣE stands for “Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-class.” That’s a lot of words that basically say this robot is a futuristic garbage man. Oh, and one more thing: WallσE has a plan to save the whole human race!

The Dark Knight (July 18)
It’s Batman all over again! This movie is a sequel to Batman Begins. Join the caped crusader in the fight against the Joker. Christian Bale is once again wearing the bat costume. And Heath Ledger plays the Joker—the actor’s final role.

Hancock (in theaters)
Not all superheroes are adored by the public. Will Smith stars in this summer blockbuster about a superhero who is trying to get his good name back. Repairing his image won’t be easy. He’ll have to do some seriously good work!

Kung Fu Panda (in theaters)
If you haven’t seen this one yet, what are you waiting for? Jack Black is the voice of Po, an apprentice noodle–maker who dreams of fighting in the kung fu world. Teasers and trailers for this film have been around for about a year now, and the main event is finally here. Hi ya!
